Ah, the State Fair of Texas. Did you know it starts in just TEN DAYS? There’s a countdown on the Big Tex website, and I look at it almost every day. I just love corny dogs, I love the smell of fried dough, and I can’t help but be excited for that silly dog show. It’s always a little bit of a struggle to get my husband to go. If it’s one of my favorite things, it might be one of his least favorites.
But that’s ok. The last couple of years, I have had the chance to go to the fair a more than a few times each year. Several families have asked me to tell the story of their day at the fair. It’s always a little exhausting and a little messy, but worth every minute. Here are some of my favorite shots from the State Fair of Texas over the last few years.
