Cinnamon Rolls

October 23, 2020

When we were first married I knew very little about cooking. A good friend had been doing her best to teach me, but it usually ended in a giant mess and I hardly remembered what I was supposed to be learning. However, I had a newfound love for food and was also a poor newlywed so I needed to figure some things out quickly.

One day I told Chris I wanted to try my hand at making homemade cinnamon rolls. He responded with, “Okay… but I doubt they will be better than the Pillsbury ones from the can.” Don’t judge him to harshly, 30-year-old-Chris regularly scoffs at the things 20-year-old-Chris used to say.

Thankfully, I didn’t let his uneducated comment discourage me because the look on his face when he took that first warm, gooey bite was priceless. He said nothing for a while, just banging his fist on the table and shaking his head while inhaling roll after roll. Finally, he admitted how very wrong he was and we’ve never bought a can since.

These Pioneer Woman cinnamon rolls are a staple in our house now and make for a perfect breakfast, brunch, dessert, snack, dinner etc. The recipe makes a TON so share with your friends and neighbors, they will LOVE you for it.
