What makes a wedding beautiful? Is it the location? The details? The couple? The family? In everyone wedding that I shoot, I feel there there is one particular element that makes the day especially beautiful. The Coats wedding wasn’t any different. The most beautiful part about their marriage ceremony was the deep love and devotion that they have for each other. I’ll be honest, most weddings I’m so focused on getting the right shots and not missing key moments that I don’t often listen as the preacher addresses the couple or hear the words exchanged during their vows. Aaron and Daniela’s wedding was different though. I actually had to pause and refocus myself because I started to get so pulled into their vows that I felt myself getting choked up. It doesn’t help that they have been my friends for the past few years and Daniela’s relationship with her family is very similar to my own.
The ceremony took place at Marty Leonard Chapel in Ft. Worth, TX on a warm summer day. The light poured into the chapel illuminating all the intricate details of the architecture. I was so pleased they chose to do a “first look” and see each other before the ceremony began because it gave us them just a few minutes alone before everything began. After the ceremony they shared a meal with their friends and family at Life Church in North Richland Hills. It was full of laughter, Aaron proving himself (not by his choosing) through “dancing” and push-ups, and lots of memorable moments. Then we spent some extra time taking portraits at the Ft. Worth Botanic Gardens before they headed off to their honeymoon.
I’m so pleased to introduce to you Mr. & Mrs. Coats. I know you both will be so happy in your new life together, it was a joy to be a part of your day.
